22 Weeks: Please pass the tissues

I’ve been slacking on my pregnancy updates. Shame on me. I’m technically 24 weeks along. But, I’m up to my week 22 post. I’ll be sure to update you with number 23 soon.

According to the folks at BabyCenter, my little one is about the size of a spaghetti squash. It’s crazy how fast he/she is growing. Based on my last visit, I think my squash is a little longer than 11 inches and weighs over a pound though.

How I’m feeling: I’ve written about my strange side effects. But this one takes the cake. I’m constantly spitting, so much so I need to have a box of tissues handy. When I was pregnant with Princess, I needed to have a spit cup in the car with me at all times. It can get pretty gross and annoying. I try to be incognito about it. But, it doesn’t always work.

My hair has also been growing and shedding less. I know a huge part of it is due to the pregnancy hormones. However since becoming a natural, I’ve been taking much better care of my hair which also may have something to do with its healthier appearance. I’m just hoping I won’t have to deal with that horrible hair loss again. That was brutal!

Awww… I just read this post. You look great. That’s so crazy about having to spit all the time. Pregnancy does the weirdest things to our bodies. One of the weirdest things my last pregnancy that has NOT gone away is gagging really bad when I brush my teeth. What is that all about? And I’m still doing it. I have no idea what that stems from. Weird. Glad you are doing well…..I’m really excited for you to have baby #2. Life may be super crazy at first but things will calm down. When I had my second daughter Elodie …Avarie was 3. Avarie was very helpful. She loved being a sister. We did have some sleep issues but they resolved. When I had Emery …Elodie had just turned 2 and she barely seemed interested. She was just doing her own thing. She loved him clearly but she just had her own agenda at the time. I’m excited for your family. 🙂 Ugh and the hairloss. Just keep taking your prenatals after. Post partum hair loss is different for everyone but I agree…mine was brutal.

I just saw your post on G+ and I wanted to let you know that your daughter is growing so much. She is lovely, just like you. I love babies, and I will be so elated to read more your little one as your pregnancy progresses. Blessings to you and your family!

You look fabulous! Pregnancy suits you very well. The first time I heard about spitting a lot during pregnancy was when I was watching “A Baby Story” on TLC. I had never known that to happen before then. Is it an accumulation of extra saliva? I have yet to be pregnant, but I enjoy learning about different experiences :). I’m looking forward to you finding out if it’s a boy or girl, which won’t be until ‘D’ day of course lol.

Yep!I didn’t spit nearly as much when I was pregnant the first time. Don’t be surprised if I start referring to this baby as he. For some reason I think I’m having a boy. But then again I felt that way before.lol
