When the owner announced that the dance recital was scheduled for June 27 a bomb went off in my head. I couldn’t exactly ask her to change the date, so we made the best of it. We can always postpone our wedding anniversary celebration, but our little girl will only have her first dance recital once.
Plus, this is the last hurrah for her and some of her friends before heading to kindergarten.
We decided to make this a family affair with the family showing up for her special day. We didn’t let the pouring rain put a damper on our day.
There were two dance numbers. They tapped to Katy Perry’s Roar, which is one of Princess’s favorite songs. Then transformed into little minions and tumbled to one of the movie’s theme songs.
These past few months have kept us pretty busy between her preschool prom, graduation, and dance recital. Now that all of those events have come and gone, now the hubs and I can plan our wedding anniversary celebration alone. We have to find a way to top our 10 year anniversary gift ideas.
