Beautiful Texture|How to Define Curls on 4c Natural Hair

I’ve been getting a ton of compliments on my 4c natural hair recently. Some have asked me how I manage to get well define curls. So I wanted to share with you my updated natural hair routine.

I’m working with Beautiful Textures and BET to promote healthy hair. They gave me a few products to try out. The Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner, the Curl Definer Mousse, and the Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Crème.

Now I’ve been having some real major issues these past few years. I haven’t had a relaxer in over three years. It’s been a work in progress. I’ve been dealing with postpartum hair loss.

My hair is coming back, and by around midweek I like to co-wash my hair. I also like to deep condition it with the Rapid Repair Deep Conditioner. It does promote soft well-defined curls. It’s also great for restoring hair’s natural moisture balance. It controls damage from heat and color treated hair, and restores elasticity to prevent breakage.

After apply the deep conditioner with my fingers, I put the cap on. I sit for a little while, then take the cap off. And then it’s off to the Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Crème. I like to use a T-shirt to dry my hair to prevent pulling and frizzing. I then work the product through my hair. The Moisture butter whipped crème soften and nourishes curls and elongates kinky coils.

Once I’ve applied the creme, I add the curl definer mousse. It’s quick drying and helps with overall styling. I work with small braids and add extra of the best mousse for braids product to the tips to the ends because it’s the oldest part of your hair.

The next day is the take down. I’m careful because I don’t want frizzing. It takes a little while but that’s okay. Once it’s all done, you’ll see the difference. I’ve tried twist outs and it really doesn’t work for my 4c texture. But I do twist the ends in order to make unraveling my hair easier.

Braid outs give me better overall definition. I’m feeling the way this product is feeling throughout my hair. It doesn’t way the hair down. It’s not greasy. It’s just moving. It’s a soft hold. When I’m done, I fluff, shake, and I go.

Here’s a quick video tutorial. Please don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching!
