Picture Princess heavily medicated, out of sorts, and drooling uncontrollably. That was the vision in my head at the thought of her getting the MMR vaccine. After months of debate and research, I finally gave in. Princess finally got her shot!
As I mentioned in my previous post, the controversy surrounding the MMR vaccine has been retracted. However, there are some parents who still have doubts and worry about serious side effects- including me. So far, Princess is doing just fine. She cried for about 2 seconds afterwards, and later took a longer than usual nap. She even slept a little better last night. Can’t complain about that!
I’ll be watching her closely in the coming days. The doctor said there is a chance that she may get a fever about a week following the injection. Fingers crossed that all goes well, and she remains fever free. For now Princess continues to be the same funny, happy-go-lucky baby girl I know her to be.
