Sounds to me like you may have “single strand knots”. I’ve been natural for a year and a half now and have never experienced this, but there are many, many naturals as well as transitioners who have this problem. You should brush your hair regularly, like every night to prevent these hooks and you could also get a trim, if you like. Do you treat your hair with different products all the time? Maybe your hair is fed up with too much products. haircutting classes
You can buy wigs to cover it up. It is indeed important to brush your hair daily and if you really want to flaunt it when you go out, it is best that you experiment and take risks.
