As you probably already know, I’ve been dealing with hair loss. I’ve been rockin’ a wig during the week at work. But on weekends, I like to let it all hang out. My hair is braided underneath my wig. Here’s how it looks when I take the plats out.
Right now it falls a little past my shoulders when straightened. It’s sort of like a shrunken wavy fro after I take them out. It’s still pretty thin. In fact, you probably can’t tell that I have a teeny weeny afro in the back about two inches long.
I can’t wait to have a full head of hair again. At some point, I may have to take matters into my own hands. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough guts to cut it all off. For now this is the closest to me ever doing a big chop.
Have you ever done the big chop?

I’m in the same boat, really want to do what you’ve done – cornrow my hair and slap a wig one when in public, but I’m afraid I’ll only find wigs that are too “wiggy” if you know what I mean!

Looking good! I did a big chop when my hair locked when trying to transition. It grew back fast though then I relaxed it to save time. Next time I transition I’ll do braids while it grows out then rock my fro!

I had hair loss when I was anemic last year…it’s not fun. But you’re so positive!

I’ve done the big chop and honestly its not so bad. It took a little time getting use to (wigs help), but head rubs I get from my babe when I’m feeling down about it not growing back as fast as I thought helps a lot too.

Very cool! Not sure if I’ve commented on your natural hair posts yet, but I love watching the progress. It looks like the hairline is improving from previous pictures, so you’re definitely on a roll! 😉

It takes alot of patience. I cut ALL my hair off recently. You can see here in my blog profile pic. Now I’ve been trying to grow it out and it’s a million different lengths. I like long hair, just not my long hair! It’s getting thinner with age and I don’t know what to do with it anymore. Hang in there!

I lost SO much hair after having my son (like, a frightening, drain-clogging amount – so I feel your pain!). Now it’s growing back and I’m dealing with half my hair being long and the other half being like 2″ long sticking out all over the place! Luckily I work from home, so it doesn’t really matter how awful I look – it’s Ponytail City over here all the time. I’m just biding my time till it grows out a bit more and then maybe I’ll cut the rest to try to even things out a bit.
