I remember spending many a days at the library throughout my childhood. More than just books, there were fun programs too.
Princess has been asking me to take her for quite some time now. Rather than have her veg out in front of the TV or sit at home on her iPad (little TV, as she calls it), I wanted to get her out of the house and do something she’d enjoy. I figured, why not hit up the public library!
The first thing we did was sign her up for a library card.
She became the little kid in the candy store. The first thing Princess wanted to do was hop on the computer. She’s more accustom to a touchscreen. But, she got hang of the mouse pretty quickly.
She enjoyed putting together puzzles, and also made a friend.
It was so much fun sharing this experience with her. We didn’t get much reading done. But, we did check out a few books.

How adorable! I love how your library put Princess’ picture on her library card too. It makes it extra special 😉 Our local library was shut down due to Sandy, and we’re finally getting back into the swing of things with visiting regularly since it opened last month. I really miss our old Harlem library though. I started Nia there when she was about 6 months old and she adored it! Inspiring a love of books from a young age is so important.

What a nice little educational mother-daughter day. She looks super excited and so adorable with her ponytail!
