Non-Maternity Sears Fashion for My Baby Bump

Who says you have to shop maternity when you’re pregnant? As a part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®, I put together this great black and white look from the Kardashian Kollection.

I’ve been known to rock a cute maternity ensemble. But, I try to stick with regular clothes whenever possible. It’s not that I’m anti-maternity fashion. It’s just that I don’t like the idea of limiting my wardrobe. I like to stick with classic pieces that I can wear no matter what size I am.

Some folks believe that the Kardashian sisters are known for having reality shows. But fashion has always been their thing, with each having their own personal style.

Kim has a more daring fashion sense, often rocking curve hugging outfits. The petite one of the bunch, Kourney, seems to rock more conservative looks. Kloe tends to fall somewhere between her sisters, always finding great looks to match her tall curvy frame.

Out of the three, I fall somewhere in the middle too. I tend to be a bit more conservative like Kourtney. But there are times when I take risks, like Kim. Throughout my pregnancy I’ve been shopping mostly non-maternity stores, and this recent purchase at Sears is no different.

I’m nearing the end of my last trimester and with temperatures heating up here in New York, I want some cute pregnancy friendly dresses that will last beyond my pregnancy. I’ve always found Sears fashion to be affordable.

Normally, shopping online saves me a ton of time. But after scoping out the website, It doesn’t look like these dresses would fit.

I decided to do my shopping in person. I immediately see that there’s a clearance sale and make a b-line for the Kardashian Kollection.

I’m glad I stuck with my guns because after seeing this black and white dress above in person, there’s no way it would fit my growing baby bump. I’ve learned that the key to shopping while preggers is to stick with stretchy fabrics like this boat neck black and white dress.

Whether paired with a blazer, leggings, or worn alone, this would be the perfect look for the season. I find that this type of material is so forgiving. I don’t have to necessarily go up a size. But, the length may be an issue, so why not try on different sizes?

Even though both dresses fit ok, I decide on the small because there may be some shrinkage after washing.

Not only do I leave with a nice summer dress, I also save a bundle through the shop your way rewards program. It doesn’t get any better than that!
