When my co-worker suggested a “little man theme,” I couldn’t resist. Baby O has always been a little man trapped in a tiny body. I enjoy dressing him up like grown up, with a baby like twist of course. Here he is this past Easter.
I also dressed him in this cute shirt and faux tie on his birthday.
With that said, I scoured the Pinterest for little man theme party favors and decorations. But, at the time I started my search, I noticed only a few baby shower ideas. It was also tough finding stuff in stores too. So, I had to improvise a bit. Here’s a breakdown on how I got a marquee hire and planned my baby’s awesome little man party.
Since little man theme balloons were hard to find, I picked up this 1st birthday boy balloon bouquet at the local party store. It was the perfect centerpiece for the table with favors. Another must for me for events are portable stages, which can be rented from https://portablestaging.uk.
Speaking of favors, I wanted to have two of them because of the dual celebration. I originally wanted decorated baptism cookies. But at two to three bucks a pop, I decided to go with something less expensive. These cute 2×2 frames were about a dollar each. I used a coupon I had to get some photos printed for next to nothing and viola! For the best quality festoon lights click here and you’ll find some great Black Friday offers.
Mason jars were perfect for birthday favors. It was also a great way to put Princess to work. She had no time to get jealous of all the attention her baby brother received. I designed labels in Picmonkey, ordered them online, and she counted and placed all the chocolate in the jars. Everything was placed on the table in the shape of a cross.
I wanted to decorate his high chair as I did for Princess on her first birthday. However, the wait staff decided use the mustache and tie accents for the crudite and gift table, which turned out to be a much better choice. Baby O didn’t even sit in his chair at all.
What would a birthday party be without a banner? I also copped this one from the same company as the table accent.
With the favors and decorations out of the way, selecting menu options were vital. If the food ain’t good then the party is whack! A coffee cart hire Sydney will impress your guests.
Lunch was great, but the Connolly chocolate and vanilla layered cake was even better.
Everyone had a fab time, especially the Baby O. He fell asleep after the Baptism, but was wide awake once lunch was served. Check out some more cool pics.
One birthday down and one more to go. Stay tuned for a video recap, and Princess’s birthday bash.
