Making Lasting Memories With Blinkbuggy (Giveaway)

For me being a parent is all about creating lasting memories with my kids. That’s why I started blogging in the first place.  Weather Anchor Mama has become sort of like a diary that they can one day go back and read about their childhood and family.

It’s funny how Princess recounts events with intricate detail. Just the other day she said, “Mommy remember when I had sunglasses on and my binky and I was dancing?” One would think this four-year-old has a great memory. But, she was actually referring to a picture that she saw of herself. That’s exactly why it’s important to preserve these memories.

I take a ton of pictures and videos of the kids everyday, so much so that we go through tons of memory cards. My iphone and icloud are always filled to the max. I think the problem lies with me wanting to hold on to all the images.

I’m afraid of losing all the photos for good, even though I’ve backed them up on my external hard drive. I also have photos privately stored on sites like Google and Shutterfly. I have old fashion albums filled with loads of pictures as well. But, I’d like to be able to put together a digital scrapbook with captions describing different milestones.

I recently heard of a site called Blinkbuggy, which allows users to capture, organize, and share family memories.

Former Google employee, Emma Weisberg became inspired to start Blinkbuggy after creating a Gmail account as a lifelog for her daughter.

Users can transfer images between social media sites and Blinkbuggy. They can also grab photos from your hard drive or smart phone with private, public, and shared group options that allow complete control over access to photos.

There are a bunch of different ways to document your child’s journey, including custom infographics and stylish designs. Parents can track milestones on line or send them to print.

I think about compiling photos and one day handing them over to my children. Hopefully they’ll continue on that same tradition with the hopes of building strong roots.

In the spirit of making lasting memories, Blinkbuggy is giveaway a 20 page printed memory book to one of my readers. Please see details below on how to enter. Good luck!
