Our mixed hair care wash-n-go series is coming to an end and Princess’s curls are still holding up pretty well. Friday’s are usually quick and easy. Sometimes she prefers to throw her hair into a pony tail after the detangling process. But, today we decided to let her curls hang one more day with an added twist.
Surprisingly, there are just a few tangles, considering we didn’t prep the night before. As I mentioned, I’m unable to moisturize and detangle her hair during the week due to my work schedule. My hubby is great at moisturizing and detangling, but his braiding technique is still a work in progress.
1. After spraying her curls with water, adding a drop of leave-in conditioner, and finger detangling, I parted a section in the front of her head using a rat tail comb.
2. I then cornrowed (Dutch Braided) the section from ear to ear. This gives a cute faux headband look.

How do you freshen up your wash-n-go?

Great post! I was surfing the web looking for a way to style my sweet stars hair and came across your site! My kiddos are also mixed veggies as we call them and they have four different hair textures between the four of them. My Star has the same hair texture as your princess it looks like, and the techniques you use are working wonders on her hair!! Thank you!!!
