Back to School: Must Have School Supplies for Kindergarten

In less than two weeks our little girl will be starting kindergarten. So many emotions have been running through my mind, as we prepare for this new chapter. For starters, back to school shopping is nothing like before. We were given a list of school supplies to purchase, which is a far cry from the previous years of baby items that included blankets, bottles, diapers, and sippy cups.

From three-months-old to five-years-old Princess has grown in more ways that one. She’s reading, writing, brushing her teeth, and getting dressed all on her own. She quick to blurt out our phone numbers and address when asked. I no longer have to lift her onto the toilet in public restrooms because she stands just under four feet tall. As a matter of fact, she can use the bathroom by herself. I usually stand guard outside of the stall, of course.

All this said, this is a bitter sweet moment. On the one hand we are excited for her, and on the other hand it’s hard to believe that our baby girl is growing up. She just celebrated her fifth birthday and within these last few months I’ve seen her become so much more independent. Princess has also developed quite a knack for creating videos.

If you’ve been keeping up with this blog, then you’re probably familiar with our videos on YouTube. For the past few years, Princess has been the subject in many of the curly hair, craft, and family vlogs. And today she came up with the idea of doing something about what’s in her school bag.

So without further adieu, here’s her latest video, What’s in My Bag.
