Quick Night Time Routine 4C Hair

night time routine 4c hair Stacy-Ann Gooden

I’m sure other naturals can agree that there are moments when you just don’t feel like doing your hair. My life is busy between being a wife, mom, and having a career. Sometimes finding time to do my hair is few and far in between. That said, I’ve developed a quick night time routine for days I don’t have the time to re-do my hair.

Those of you with 4c hair know that refreshing natural hair can literally take hours. For me, wearing my hair stretched works best for my hair. I get less single strand knots and fewer tangles when I rock a braid out or twist out. I usually moisturize,  re-braid or re-twist every night before bed. However, every once in a while I’ll give myself a break.

I only spray my edges with leave-in mixture, which includes aloe vera juice, water and essential oils. I avoid wetting the strands of my hair because the curl pattern of my braid out would get ruined. After moisturizing my edges, I seal with castor oil and apply a satin bonnet.

How to Refresh 4C Hair

I remove the cap and smooth out my edges with a fine tooth cold or brush the next day. Finally, I fluff my curls and I’m ready to go. My hair still feels moisturized from almost a week’s worth of styling.
