Here’s the 11th installment of my project, “30 Things My Kids Should Know About Me.” It’s my 10+ pet peeves!
Okay, I’ll admit that some of my pet peeves may be a little out there. I couldn’t narrow it down to just ten. I could go on and on, but decided to stop at 12. Let me explain:
✔There are times when I go to work or the mall and the parking lot is packed to capacity. Then I drive pass a car (usually a luxury vehicle) that takes up two spaces. Sometimes the driver would park so crooked, making it impossible for me to fit into the spot.
✔I wouldn’t call myself an aggressive driver. But, nothing aggravates me more than SLOW DRIVERS! The worse part is that when I’d switch to the other lane and pull up next to the car, I see the idiot talking on the phone. ✔Speaking of phones. Nothing irks me more than when people talk loud on there cell phones. I’d be at the gym and the person next to me on the treadmill would be shouting on the cell.
✔Religion and politics can be a really touchy subject. I can’t stand when people impose there beliefs, and try to convert me. There are so many other things we can talk about. Let’s just not even go there.
✔My blog has always been a place for me to vent about motherhood, and there are times when I ask parents about there experiences. But if I don’t ask, there’s no need to offer parenting advice.
✔I’ve gotten tons of doors close in my face. It’s so annoying when people don’t hold open the door. All you have to do is take a quick second and wait for the person walking a few steps behind you.
✔I’m sorry, but there’s no excuse for not washing your hands. I’ve called people back into the restroom to wash their hands. I’ve even had someone tell me they forgot. How the heck can you forget to wash your hands? I don’t get it. It’s common courtesy. Fyi, it affects us all.
✔You may think I’m bonkers for bringing this up. But, it’s so annoying when people don’t close the soda top all the way. Leaving it loose let’s all the fizz out, and that’s how you end up with flat soda!
✔Reaching over my food makes me wanna scream!!! I get on my husband for doing this all the time. lol
✔”Ewww, What’s that?” “Lemme see!” “What’s in it?” I don’t mind people commenting about how great my food smells. But literally putting your nose in my food is an absolute no no. The rude questions and comments can get pretty annoying. I just wanna eat in peace.
✔While we’re on the topic of food, I can’t leave this one out. If you touch it, it’s yours. It grosses me out when people put their hands on something, change their minds, and grab a different one. I don’t know where your hands been! This happens a lot with pizza. Let’s face it, not everyone washes up before eating. It’s irritating when people separate slices of the pie, leaving behind the one they touched. If you know you’re not gonna take it, use a utensil or napkin.
✔I see this happen every day in my line of work- people bashing, and I hate it. I always say, “Don’t hate, congratulate.” Rather than put out negative energy, spend time encouraging others. You’d find that your time will come, if you focus on putting out positive evergy.
Anyway, I know I may come off a little anal. But if you follow my blog, you already know that I’m a germaphobe. I admit I may be a little OCD, but I’m not the only one.
