My Son Turns 2: How to Celebrate a Toddler’s Birthday

biracial-toddler-birthday-presents

When it comes to celebrating a toddler’s birthday, it’s important to know your child’s personality. Princess is a social butterfly and loves parties. Her little brother, on the hand, is the complete opposite. He’d rather have something simple, than a big birthday party.

We decided to do something different. We started the day with opening presents. We then headed to the Long Island’s Children’s Museum followed by a lobster bake. Our neighbors invited us and offered to give us a tour of their family’s boat.

Even though he had a lot of fun, I do wonder if he’ll look back at photos years from now and wonder why he didn’t have a big birthday celebration like his sister. I’ll just tell him that a party doesn’t measure the unconditional love we have for him.

Besides, his birthday celebration isn’t over. We plan on having family over for cake and continue with his birthday celebration into next month. Stay tuned for details and more pics.
