Would You Decorate Your Christmas Tree With This Unusual Ornament?

Decorating our house for the holidays has become one of our favorite things to do as a family. Our daughter often comes up with a unique and an unusual ornament to add to the Christmas tree. My husband and I talk about what she thought of this year in this short video clip.

Recently we went to Hallmark Gold Crown and got this cute stuffed animal called Request a Song Mimi. She comes with a song book and actually sings lullabies. But Princess wanted to make her a part of our holiday decor.

“Why don’t we make this into an ornament?” she asked. Once we finished decorating our Christmas tree, Princess grabbed her new stuffed toy and placed her in between the branches. At first I thought it was a bit of an unusual ornament.

But once I saw how cute Mimi looked propped inside as if she’d been hiding to see if she’d catch Santa, I thought “how cute!” As my husband says, Request a Song Mimi actually gave the tree a bit “more character.”

I love how kids use their imaginations to create awesome crafts and ideas. I think it’s so important to get the kids get involved in the holiday decorations. It’s great for creating memories to last a lifetime. Plus, you never know what awesome idea they’ll come up with next.
