I Have No Shame in Airing My Dirty Laundry

People tend to believe that just because I’m on TV, and I write blog that I’ve got it all together. But, you’d be surprised that is far from the truth. Behind my neatly cropped photos, you’ll likely find a mess.

As weird as it sounds – I try to justify it by calling it a clean mess. Empty boxes, toys, papers, old gadgets, and whatnot litter my home. Okay, there’s also the occasional dirty laundry and messy diaper. But at least there aren’t any dirty dishes lying around. I’ve got to draw the line somewhere. Lawd knows I don’t want bugs and rodents to invade our home.

Without further adieu, Here’s something you haven’t seen on any of my social media pages until now.

This dresser in my kids’ room cannot stay neatly organized – no matter how hard we try.

My dining room has slowly morphed into the kids play room. It was actually much worse than this yesterday. And yes we still have our Christmas tree up with toys underneath.

I saved the worst, I mean the best for last. This is supposed to be our workout/family room. But it’s become our storage room. Ugh.

I find solace knowing that I’m not the only one dealing with a pile of clutter. Some of my fellow BabyCenter moms have also decided to air their dirty laundry.

We all thrive to be more organized and tidy. But the reality is that we don’t have the perfect balance. I’m not here to make excuses. I’m not proud of our mess. I’m just keeping it real.

What does your house look like right now?

Great post and I wish more bloggers would keep it real! You’ve inspired me to do a similar post. Post holiday and with my upcoming trip to Alt it’s in complete disarray around my apartment but we’re all happy and healthy so that’s what matters =)
