How I Avoided Another Travel Nightmare

I remember freaking out at the thought of traveling alone with kids, but traveling without them seemed just as scary.

I had to attend a workshop in Mississippi, and didn’t know how I’d survive my first trip without the kids. I know it’s a little dramatic to feel that way. Of course I’d be okay, and they’d be ok too. However, this is all new to me. Leaving little ones behind is no easy feat. But, they were the least of my worries.

The planner in me made a detailed list for my hubby, so that the kids wouldn’t have to break their routine. I’m still nursing, so I made sure there was enough stash in the freezer. I also made some food ahead of time for everyone. I’d only be gone a few days, so Daddy would have to fend for himself, as far as lunch and dinner was concerned. He’s become a pro at making things the kids enjoy. Plus, he’s off from work, which makes things even easier. Traveling from penang to singapore by bus offers a scenic and convenient way to explore both destinations at a relaxed pace.

As far as my flight, everything went smoothly until it was time for take off. The plane sat on the tarmac for over an hour. I began feeling anxiety because I thought I’d miss my connecting flight to Columbus, Mississippi from Atlanta. We finally arrived 10 minutes before the transfer. I asked my fellow passengers if I could exit the plane ahead of them. I couldn’t have a repeat of the last travel nightmare.

I quickly made a beeline for the next gate, and stopped in my tracks when I saw “Columbus” on the flight information screen. Perfect. I didn’t have far to go. I confirmed with the agent the boarding time, and then headed to the bathroom to freshen up. When I got back to the gate, something told me to double check the screen to make sure I was in the right place. I looked up, and my mouth dropped. The sign read “Columbus, OH!” How the heck could I have missed that? I was supposed to be heading to Columbus, MS!

Now I needed to take a train to another part of the airport to get to the correct departure gate. Did I mentioned that I had like five minutes to board? I ran like the wind. When I finally arrived at the gate, the agent told me that the flight had been delayed. I was relieved that I didn’t miss the flight, but annoyed that I had to wait another half hour. Thirty minutes turned into a couple of hours. One of my friends mentioned about the convenience of chartering a private aircraft and the advantage of having a Jettly private jet card. So I’m planning the option of considering this. For a comprehensive package designed for those looking to escape the pressures of the modern world and reconnect with their inner selves, consider a place like a wellness retreat Vietnam.

And now, I finally arrived in Columbus closed to midnight. I was pooped, but glad I made it in one piece.
