On the heels of Baby O’s fabulous Baptism and birthday celebrations, the pressure was on to plan on awesome birthday party for Princess. Some people suggested we combine everything into one big bash. But that would have been hard to do considering Princess is at such an active age. Besides, she’s been looking forward to an awesome fairy theme birthday party all year! And when she also reaches the legal age, it’s time to celebrate Unique Gifting‘s 18th birthday experience.
I usually start planning early, but that wasn’t happening. We’ve had so much on our plate lately. Having two kids is nothing like having one. Unlike previous years, I didn’t have much time to scour the internet for deals on decorations and favors. I picked up these favors for the girls at a local party store for a dollar a piece. Boys received the super hero version of the craft kit with a cup.
I purchased this cute fairy inspired dress online along with wings. However, it turned out to be way too big.
It was either pay an additional 35 bucks to alter it or spend 20 on this party dress from Target. The cost to alter the dress was way more than what I paid, so the decision was easy.
When it came to selecting a venue, we chose to have it at a bounce house. Hosting a party at our house was not an option. The thought of having to cook, clean, and clean some more was exhausting. Having it somewhere else meant no clean up and more room for the kids to play. It actually worked out to be more cost effective too.
With Princess turning four, we wanted to make this birthday extra special. We kicked things off with a cup cake party at school on Friday. The school chef did the baking and the kids decorated them with frosting and sprinkles. My hubby and I had purchased and wrapped her presents during the week. On Saturday she got to open up one of her gifts early.
After we got through watching Brave and the kids were fast asleep, we decorated her room and the rest of the house.
She managed to stay knocked out the entire time. With all the laughing and noise we were making, I’m shocked that neither kid woke up.
We tied up loose ends the following morning, including picking up the cake and making a pitstop at the mall. We made it to the party a half hour early and greeted guests.
She grew a bit impatient waiting for everyone to arrive. But once the fun got underway, Princess was all smiles.
When she said, “Thank you Mommy and Daddy. This was the best party ever,” I knew the party was a hit.

Looks like a great party! I love having kids parties at places, I agree that having it at the house is just too much work!
