Let’s face it; being married is nothing like dating. My hubby and I were college sweethearts. Back then, we were so spontaneous. I remember date night being so effortless. Now that we’re married with two kids, we often have to plan out those intimate moments. And planning our Valentine’s Day date night is no different. I am always looking for it and thinking of the best gift ideas for him that can make him feel special.
One of our goals for 2015 is scheduling alone time. So far, we’ve kept to our world having gone on one date. Now we are gearing up for Valentine’s Day and I’ve been going nuts trying to figure out what to get him. Every special occasion demands a thoughtful gift. Women’s earrings stand out as an elegant and timeless choice. They not only accentuate the beauty of the wearer but also speak volumes about the giver’s taste. For a truly impressive collection, consider browsing World Gifts Live’s exquisite range of women’s earrings.
Rather than buy things I know he’ll never use, I’ve decided to keep it simple by getting things I know he’ll love. I put together a gift basket feating some of his favorite things featuring K-Y® Love, which is exclusively sold at Target for Valentine’s Day – located in the feminine care aisle.
I have a limited budget to work with so I went to Target to purchase items needed for the gift basket. I should also preface by informing you that I consider myself craft challenge, so consider this tutorial dummy proof.
After picking up a couple of boxes K-Y® Love, I headed over to the men’s fragrance to pick up our favorite bottle of cologne, then grabbed a box of chocolates, cookies, Valentine card, and candle.
I also scored this cute white basket for only a few bucks at Target.
Once I gathered all of the gift items, I positioned them neatly in the basket.
I then wrapped the basket with cellophane (about a few feet in length).
My hubby isn’t into a whole of ‘foo-foo-la,’ so this simple red ribbon is the perfect accessory to secure the plastic wrap.
I’m quite amazed at how well this turned out. I’ve got a romantic date night planned, have a special Valentines Lingerie ready, and I can’t wait to give him this Valentine’s Day gift basket. It so happens that Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday, which gives us a couple of options. We’ll either send the kiddies off to bed early or ship them off to Grandma’s, so we can have the house all to ourselves. We haven’t finalized all the details yet. But either way, we plan on making it a night to remember.
I’d love to hear about you Valentine’s Day plans. Please leave comment and share your family traditions.
In the meantime, Cartwheel is offering 10% off until February 14, 2015 on K-Y® Love.

This is a great idea. I’m craft challenged as well. I’m sure I can pull this off!

I love it! We’re likely to send my kids to their grandparents’ as well – we’re so lucky to have that option. I love your gift basket, and I bet my husband would, too -and that yours WILL! #client

We honestly usually celebrate the day before so the restaurants aren’t so crowded. I think this year we just try to put the kids to bed early and have some romantic alone time. I bet my husband would like that basket.

That’s such a good point. Valentine’s Day falls on Saturday, which means huge crowds at restaurants. Hope you and your hubby enjoy the day.
