The dangerously cold temperatures can be brutal on your skin, and it’s definitely no good for your hair either. Princess normally enjoys sporting her curly locks. However, we’ve been sticking to protective styles because of the frigid weather. For our Curly Hairstyle of the Week, we decided to do an awesome French twist rope braid.
I’ve seen this style done on straight hair and it’s looks awesome. You can blow dry or flat iron your hair to achieve this look. But, I won’t be straightening Princesses hair anytime soon. I managed to do it in less than 10 minutes.
First, I dampen the hair using a spray bottle with water. Then, I add a dime size amount of leave in conditioner throughout her strands – focusing on the ends.
Once the leave in conditioner is evenly distributed, I comb through her tresses with a wide tooth comb, followed by a fine tooth comb to smooth out her roots.
I then take a small section of hair from the top and begin twisting. I then add more hair to each section as I make my way down. I also use the fine tooth comb to smooth hair along the way.
Secure the twist with a hair tie at the nape of the neck. Continue twisting and secure with another hair tie or clip near the end.
