If you’re a busy mom on the go like me, then you know that finding time to get dolled up is nearly impossible. When I used to have a relaxer, it was pretty easy to create a nice cute updo. Having natural hair is a whole different ball of wax. I’ve spent the past few years learning about my hair all over again.
I’ve figured out that my hair looks best with a braid out. But I don’t always have time to refresh it every night. Between trying to meet deadlines and chasing after my two little ones, I’m usually too exhausted to re-wet and re-braid my hair at night.
On those days, I just throw on a satin cap and call it a night. But by morning, my hair is a matted mess.
Now that my hair is a bit longer, I’m able to wear it up. I’ve tried buns, ponytails, and other pin up hairstyles. My favorite style these days is what I call the edgy braid-out updo.
It’s cute, simple, and only takes about three minutes. I’m able to dress it up or rock it casual. Plus, I’m able to avoid a bad hair day. I put together this video tutorial. Please give this video a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe!
