Being organized was never an issue for us until we started a family. I’ve seen our home go from orderly to disorderly within the last few years because of the accumulating baby and kids products that we have around the house. So now I’m on a mission to de-clutter our home.
I know this can’t happen over night, so I’ll start with one thing at a time. Since toys have been taking up most of the space, I wanted to take a crack at that first.
When I told Princess to put aside the toys she wanted to give away, she chose a few small items. At that moment, I knew this would be a long tedious process and needed some assistance.
When I had the opportunity to review KidKraft’s toy box, I knew this was the answer to solving our clutter problem. I wouldn’t consider myself a handy person, but assembling it was pretty simple. It was literally screwing 7 pieces of wood together. It can’t get any easier than that!
I got to work after dropping the kids off at camp and assembled it in about an hour.
I was able to get rid of a few infant toys before filling the toy box with stuffed animals, electronics, and other items.
Here’s the finished look. I think it turned out pretty well.
Now the next challenge is seeing how long the kids go before they take everything out of the box. Luckily, cleaning up won’t be an issue.
