It was all about the letting Princess’s curls hang loose this past summer. We were able to achieve the perfect wash-n-go in six easy steps. This fall it’s all about braided hairstyles. For our Curly Hairstyle of the Week, we decided to share a quick video tutorial on how to do a easy french braid in 5 minutes or less.
Princess’s hair tends to dry out faster during colder months. With cooling temperatures, we focus on adding and locking in the moisture to her curly strands.
We’ve tweaked her routine just a little bit by using less shampoo. Sometimes all we do is rinse her hair with water and follow up with a leave in conditioner and coconut oil. CurlyKids has a spin off line called CurlyChic which has a few moisture enriched products that have become staples for the fall season, including the Moisture in a Minute, Coconut for Curls, and Your Mane Moisture.
We love the french braid because it only takes a few minutes to do, retains moisture, and keeps the hair out of her face. The fact that it can last the entire day is the icing on the cake.
The coconut oil adds shine without weighing down her curls while allowing for easy manipulation. It’s also a great moisturizer for the scalp and skin.
With hectic mornings trying to get the kids off to school, quick and easy hairdos work best. All it takes it five minutes or less to achieve the french braid and she is good to go!
