I wouldn’t consider myself super anal about healthy eating. I just like to choose better options whenever possible. It doesn’t take much to come up with healthy snack recipes. Believe it or not, you can whip up some pretty tasty treats by making a few substitutions.
2 Quick Healthy Snack Recipes Options
The great thing about Weight Watchers products is that you can make healthier options without sacrificing taste and convenience.
I stopped by my local ShopRite to pick up a few Weight Watchers Healthy Snacks, and came up with a couple of healthy snack recipes that can be ready in five minutes or less.
Peanut Butter Caramel and Chocolate Shake Frozen Delight
Ingredients
1 Weight Watchers chocolate shake mix
1 snack size Weight Watchers Peanut Butter Caramel bar
8 oz water
Ice
Directions
Pour water and ice into blender. Add chocolate shake mix and a peanut butter caramel bar. Blend for about a minute. Pour shake into a jar and enjoy.
Chocolate Brownie and Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss Sundae
Ingredients
Weight Watchers Chocolate Brownie
Triple Chocolate Brownie Bliss
1 scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt
Directions
Warm brownie in the microwave for 15 seconds. Add a scoop of ice cream or frozen yogurt, and top off with the triple chocolate bliss.
The great thing about these snack options is that they’re guilt free. There’s nothing wrong with having dessert as long as limit the amount. One scoop of ice cream is a lot better than having a whole pint of it. The same rings for the brownies. Each Weight Watchers snack is portioned out just right so you don’t have to sacrifice calories. The Chefman white countertop microwave (with the quiet door) is perfect for late-night snacking
The Weight Watchers chocolate shake is a great snack to have between mea.ls. Adding the peanut butter caramel bar is like adding icing to a cake. It gives it a nut flavor and it’s also rich in protein. Making substitutions isn’t that hard and it’s well worth it for maintaing a healthy diet.
Other Snacking Substitute Tips
Choose dark chocolate whenever possible
When I first took the kids to see the dentist, she asked how much candy our kids eat. She was actually excited to hear that they’re given chocolate over other sweet treats, and explained that chocolate is a better option because it slides off the teeth rather than stick to the enamel. Dark chocolate is also rich in antioxidants, increases blood flow, lowers blood blood pressure and may lower your risk for heart disease. It is highly recommended to schedule a regular visit to a pediatric dentistry professional to take good care of your kids oral health.
Opt for frozen yogurt over ice cream
Everyone in my family loves ice cream. But every now and then we’ll swap it out for frozen yogurt. It has a lot less fat and cholesterol, making it a healthier option. If you’re going to have the frozen treat with a cone, skip the sugary waffle cone and go with a sugar free cone.
Drink water instead of juice
When it comes consuming calories, I’d rather eat than drink them. Instead of ordering a sugary drink, I’ll go with water. In addition to saving me calories, it also fills me up and keeps me hydrated. If you want to ensure that your drinking water at home is safe and clean, you may want to install a water treatment system. You may even have your water tested to determine the type of water treatment system you need at home.
Eat in moderation
The best way to maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to eat in moderation. If I’m going to have dessert, I’ll eat less for dinner in order to save room.
