The study found that students chose a major based on influence, rather than their own personal goals and values.
Basically, choosing a career path based on what your friends and family think may lead you down a slippery slope. I almost fell victim to that. My initial plan was to become a lawyer, but I eventually realized my gift for gab didn’t mean that I’d make a great lawyer.

Where do you see yourself in five to ten years? Carve out a plan to achieve those goals. For me, having a family was just as important as finding the right career. I wanted to choose a path that offered some kind of stability between both worlds. It’s no secret that being a journalist can be tough of family life. However, I knew that if I focused on a game plan, I’d achieve my goals.
Research
Take a moment to search potential career options, and learn about them. The last thing you want to do is jump head first into something and later realize that you don’t like it, in that case you’d be better off with one of the fake GED diplomas.
