Since the beginning of the school year, Princess has been sporting either a french braid or ponytail everyday. We’re are usually pressed for time, so a simple braided hairstyle normally works best. But this morning she said, “I want something different.” So we decided on dutch braids into a ponytail.
Curly Hairstyle of the Week: Dutch Braids into a Ponytail
Since we prepped her hair the night before, it cut our time tremendously. This hairstyle took only 15 minutes to do. All you’ll need is a moisturizer, water, and rat tail comb.
- Divide hair into two sections. Then make a diagonal part on the top half.
- Dampen the hair and add moisturizer to each section then braid away! You don’t have to worry about braiding to the ends of the braids, which leads us to the 3rd and final step.
- Gather hair into a ponytail and voila!
The great thing about this curly braided hairstyle is that it can actually last for multiple days. You can let your little girl’s curls hang loose one day. You can also add a braid or twist another day. Also, feel free to accessorize to give this style added flare.
