Previously, we demonstrated a single braided Valentine’s Day heart for our Curly Hairstyle of the Week. We decided to do a slightly different variation this week. It’s called the double heart Valentine braided hairstyle and it’s just as simple to do, but may take a little longer for obvious reasons. This time around, we’re actually doing two hearts instead of one.
We love trying out different hairstyles for various holidays. Not only is it fun, it just adds flare to any occasion.
Here are the tools you’ll need if you decide to give it a try:
Wide tooth comb
Rat tail comb
Elastic bands
Curlykids Curly Gel Moisturizer
Hair accessories
Bobby pins
Spray bottle with water
How to achieve the braided Double Heart Valentine Curly Hairstyle on biracial hair
- Part a small section on top.
- Secure the top section into a ponytail using an elastic band. Don’t make it too tight.
- Separate the ponytail into three even parts and braid each section. You may need to use a hair clamp to keep sections in place.
- Once you’ve finished braiding, pull the two end braids through the elastic. You can use the rat tail comb to help with this step. Be careful not to pull it through all the way.
- Using another elastic band, secure the lower part of the braided sections into a heart shape. Then repeat step 4.
- Optional: pin the braided sections in place using Bobby pins. The middle braid should also do a great job at holding the heart in place for busy little girls who are always running around.
- Optional: finish off with a cute hair accessory.
