Princess’s Birthday Celebration (Take 2)

One of the best part about being a mom is all the cool things I get to do for my baby girl.  She celebrated her first birthday last month.  You may remember my previous post, “Princess’s 1st Birthday Celebration.” We had a little get together with close family and friends.  Since then I’ve been feverishly working at putting together my gift to her.

I’ve heard some people say that planning a birthday party for a one year old is a complete waste of time.  They say that babies won’t be able to remember anything years later.  I have to admit, that’s true.  That’s why I chose to put together a recap video for her.  Years from now she’ll see how much she was loved.  Not only by her mommy and daddy, but by everyone.

I hope that by sharing her birthday video with you all, you too may be inspired to get creative.  Whether it’s putting together a video for your little one, a photo album, or even a scrapbook.  What ever you choose to do, your little one will surely appreciate it down the road.  By baby girl continues to inspire me everyday.  So, without further adieu, check out her birthday recap video.  Please feel free to send along comments.  She’ll read it someday and appreciate it.  Thanks for reading and watching!!

God Bless you!!! You have a beautiful baby, cherish these moments. One day she will look back on this video and see how much her mommy adored her.

So very sweet! Your little one will love this when she is older. We threw a big party for Alina’s first also, and got the same remarks about her not remembering. I figured that the hubby and I survived our first year of parenthood, so WE deserved the party too! Haha!

Thank you so much for your recent comment of support. It would be so cool to meet in person one day. Also, speaking of guest posting, you are always welcome at De Su Mama. Email me one of these days if you are ever interested.

BTW, going to school, working full time and being a momma and wife? You are amazing!

Thanks so much for commenting. I remember the post you did about Alina’s bday. If I remember correctly, you mentioned that you had a couple celebrations, like 2 days in a row. It was a while ago. Thought that was cool! It was so nice that your fam came in from out of town. I have family out of state and out of the country, so putting together the video and having a blog allows for them to keep up with us.

OMG! I would love to guest post! I’ll shoot you an email this weekend. Thanks a gain!

Parties of all types are such fun especially since you can see things through the eyes of your child. Enjoy your SITS Day. Thanks for sharing with us and in the future with your daughter.

I don’t think planning a birthday party for a one year old is a waste of time. Sure its more for the family/friends than the child but it is one of the biggest milestones in someone’s life. Why wouldn’t you go crazy with celebration?

    I love it!
I have so many videos of my kids — which I can’t figure out how to actually watch on a screen bigger than 2 inches…. But none like this!

Happy SITS day, by the way!

This is such a great idea! When she gets older she’ll be able to watch this and know she was loved. Birthdays should be celebrated regardless of the age! Great post and thanks for inspiring us! Stopping by from SITS!
