It’s that time of year again…Halloween! What kid doesn’t look forward to dressing up in Halloween costumes and trick or treating? I wasn’t allowed to take part in any of the festivities as a child because of my Jamaican heritage. Halloween isn’t celebrated there.
I certainly wouldn’t want to deprive my multicultural kids the opportunity to enjoy the holiday. But, I do set limits when it comes to the Halloween costumes. The little girl outfits are sometimes way too sexy. In the video clip below, I explain how I plan to de-sexify Princess’s costume.

I didn’t celebrate Halloween as a kiddo for similar reasons but we plan to let our little guy dress up. He wore a similar pumpkin onesie for his first Halloween. This year he’s a fire fighter. I agree that some kiddo costumes and clothes in general are way to mature. Good that you are making some changes to Princess’

Costumes and clothing in general for kids are getting too sexy for children. I just don’t get it. Moo wants to be a princess again this year. She informed me that she wanted to wear her costume from last year, but just wanted a wig to go with it. I think we’re going to do just that. Why waste money if there’s already a solution.
I haven’t a glue what JJ will be. He’s not a fan of costumes.
