Curly Hairstyle of the Week: Adding a Cute Accessory to a Wash-and-Go (#WeeklyCurls)

For the past week it’s been all about the braids. Princess had fun sporting her Jamaican cornrows and beads. This week we wanted to change it up a bit and go back to something a bit more simple. So we settled on adding a cute accessory to her wash-and-go curls.

I purchased an elastic stretchy magic comb clip at the beauty supply store and wanted to try it out. It reminded me of when my mom used them to tame the sides of our hair when we were kids. The difference between the comb clips of today versus the ones back in the day are the designs. The ones we used came separately. They didn’t have much flare like the one I got for Princess.

There are so many different ways to rock this accessory, but we chose to freshen up her wash-and-go by adding some leave-in conditioner to her damp hair. After detangling her curls, I pulled the top half of the hair back and added the comb clip.

This cute and simple hair accessory adds flare to her wash-and-go. This isn’t the kind of style that she can run around in, but it is great for casual or special occasion. It’s also the kind of hair clip that fits different hair types.

You’re daughter is adorable, it’s not easy combing hair, whether it’s long or short, straight or curly it takes a calm hand. It’s a great picture.
