Interracial dating has always been a taboo subject. Some people frown at the sight of interracial couples walking down the street. Despite the hate, more mixed couples are being celebrated on TV in recent years. In fact, we see mixed families depicted in commercials, shows, and movies. Now some wonder if interracial couples a part of a movement.
Is Interracial Dating a Movement?
I recently received a message from a guy asking about the so called interracial dating trend.
“I was raised to accept people for who they are and not judge them by their skin color. That being said, as a black male I kind of feel like the bw/wm is being pushed on society as some kind of movement. Even the commercials I see on television are driving the point home,” he wrote in an email message.
He went on to question if black men are becoming obsolete, and said that he’s a good black man who makes a great living in law enforcement, and prefers black women.
Honestly, I never thought of us being part of an “interracial couple trend.” We simply met, fell in love and got married. Should you use rubmaps for hooking up? Find out with our detailed review.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who feel the same way as this brutally honest gentleman. Some are vocal, and others are silent haters. We were inspired to discuss the topic in our recent “Couples Chat” on Youtube.
So, are we part of a movement? We address this question and talk about interracial dating, interracial marriage and why some people take issue with it, and how people find their partners in dating sites like skipthegames Jacksonville which is great if you want to find an interracial partner.

Why We Celebrate Loving Day
The battle of acceptance has been a struggle. In fact, interracial marriage was illegal in the U.S. until 1967 thanks to interracial couples like Mildred Jeter and Richard Loving.
Loving and Jeter grew up in Virginia. The couple met, fell in love, and later got married in 1958. But in order for them to legally tie the knot, they had to travel to Washington, DC.
The Lovings were arrested when they returned to Virginia because mixed marriages wasn’t legal. Also, interracial couples weren’t allowed to get get married out of state, and reclaim residency in their home state.
The Lovings were ordered to leave Virginia. Their dedication led to them winning the right to live in peace as husband and wife in 1967, which sparked other states to follow suit thereafter. We honor Mildred and Richard and other interracial couples on Loving Day, June 12.
More Mixed Couples are Getting Married
Over the years more mixed couples are tying the knot. The Pew Research Center claims that marriages across racial and ethnic lines have more than doubled in the past three decades, and it appears that the numbers will continue to grow in the coming years. It’s time that people accept that love has no color and it’s okay to try these sex apps.
